Meet the Artist

Lisa Kicklighter grew up and currently lives in southeast Georgia. After retiring from teaching in 2021, the door opened for her to pursue a new creative outlet, and she was immediately drawn to soft pastels. Finding something deeply personal about working with her hands–blending, shaping, and moving pastel across the surface, she loved that soft pastels helped create a personal connection between herself and her artwork.

What began as a hobby in the corner of her formal dining room soon became her passion. With the help of her husband, Clay, she converted that room into her studio. It has become a place of joy, reflection, and creativity for her.

Living in a small rural town not far from Georgia’s coast, Lisa finds inspiration for her art in beautiful landscapes and animal life, but she also enjoys painting portraits and still life. Grounded in her faith, she wants her art to reveal God’s love for us in the beauty of His creation and give Him the glory for it all.

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.

Psalm 28:7
